FIS is the only speedway motorcycle of original Polish construction. It was developed in 1953-54 in WSK Rzeszów, and produced to 1959. Engine was patterned on British JAP. The name of the motorcycle is made of first letters of constructors' names (Fedka, Iżewski) and the name of their sport club ("Stal").
