[img]Cycles Peugeot. Young Armand Peugeot travelled to England in 1881. When he returned to France next year, he was a great supporter of two-wheelers. He started to develop production at once. His first construction was a penny-farthing, and in 1889 he exhibited a steam powered tricycle at the World Fair in Paris. Bicycles and tools were the most important products of Peugeot company in this early period. Up from 1892 Peugeot started to manufacture cars with Daimler engines, and soon this branch became Armand's main interest. Finally in 1927 the bicycle business was separated from the main company and named Cycles Peugeot.
