Rudge-Whitworth bicycle fitted with Wingwheel engine.
The Wingwheel is one of the most sought-after Dutch models of cyclemotor. It was originally manufactured by Kromhout, with later models produced by N.V. Motorenfabriek Weesp. They were manufactured in 1950 and 1951. The front fork of the host bicycle is reversed in order to fit the engine. The Wingwheel was sold either as a complete machine ready to ride, or as an engine-and-wheel unit to fit to the purchaser’s own bicycle. It is ready to install into bicycles with 26″ wheels.
