Zündapp K500 1936

Zündapp K 500 from 1936. It belonged to the "series K" with Kardan drive. K 500 was first presented on Berlin Motor Show in 1933, together with its "big brother", K 800.

[img] After show both models got contracted by German army. They shared the same construction, only their engines were different. K 500 was fitted with four-stroke, two-cylinder 498cc SV boxer engine. Bore/stroke: 69 x 66,6 mm. Power output:13 HP (later 16 HP) at 4800 rpm. Four gears, fuel tank volume 12,5 ltr. The weight of the motorcycle was 180 kg and its top speed was 105 km/h. It could be ridden with a side car. Army version, K 500 W, was used both with and without side car. The model was produced until 1940.
