Zündapp KS 600 1950

Zündapp KS 600 ("Kardan Sport") from 1950. The model was built in years 1938-1941, and then again in years 1949-1950. Four-stroke, two-cylinder OHV 597cc engine. Carburettor: Amal 25,4 mm. Bore/stroke: 75 mm x 67,6 mm. Power output: 28 HP at 4700 rpm. Four gears, fuel tank volume: 12,5 ltr. The weight of the motorcycle was 155 kg and its top speed was 145 km/h. It could be used with a side car.

In the time when KS 600 was introduced, it was considered to be one of the fastest production motorcycles. It became one of most important German military motorcycles during WW2. In 1938-1941 over 18 000 units were built, most of them for the army. KS 600 replaced elder K 800 model there.
